Thank you, Melissa…
…for being a guest on Honestly, Dear Listener! We’re honored you’ve agreed to be on the show. In this email, you will find everything you need to know to get set up to record with us. Please read through this email carefully and email us with any questions or concerns.
A few housekeeping things:
We are scheduled to record our podcast episode with you on Wednesday, August 13th at 12:00pm EST. Please fill out and submit our Media Release. At the bottom of the release is a place where you can submit your headshot and bio which we will use when promoting the show. Please include your socials and how people can find you.
We use Riverside.fm to record our audio and video for the show. On a desktop/laptop computer (preferred), this platform requires that you use either the Chrome or Brave browsers when recording. We have included a video below on how to set up your audio and video gear. If using your phone, you will need to download the Riverside app.
We have also included a list of recording tips (see below) to help you prepare.
We are excited about the conversation we get to have together!

how to get set up with our recording platform
recording tips
Find a quiet room
Background noise is the enemy of a good recording. If you have kids or a dog that might be barking, please find a room where they are not. Acoustics are really important for good audio, so this would be much appreciated. Turn off any fans, AC units, etc.Wear headphones
Please wear headphones for the recording as the platform we use natively records the audio.Join a few minutes early
This is not essential, but it would be really helpful if you could join the Riverside recording a few minutes early. We’ll spend the first 5 minutes or so chatting through our notes, but allow for a few extra minutes to make sure the tech doesn’t go wrong.Relax and be yourself
You’ve got this. We want to hear from you, so take a few minutes before you sign on to breathe and prepare mentally.
